Chess Anyone??

Ben's new obsession is the game of Chess. Every morning he wakes up asking to play and as soon as he gets home from school he starts begging for it. I'm glad that he is enjoying a game that uses so much brain power, but when do you say enough is enough? If I can't play with him he asks to play on the computer, if I say "not right now" then he recruits Ryan to play. The problem with playing with Ryan is that Ben starts changing the rules to accommodate Ryan's sensitivity to losing. Ryan will burst into tears if Ben kills his Queen or King and Ben has learned that if he wants Ryan to keep playing then he needs to modify the rules of the game. His understanding of the game has become quite impressive... At least it's better than video games!
