Who needs a dog when you have kids??

So my boys go through phases, like most kids do. This phase isn't about wanting a puppy, it's about being a puppy. Ryan is just as much into it as Ben is and they insist on a bowl of water and "dog food" ( a bowl of Cheerios) and playing fetch, the whole sha-bang. The best thing about it is that they also can't talk-- who ever heard of a talking dog? Every once in a while I get barked at when I'm taking too long before playing fetch with them or if their "dog house" fort falls down. It's not a bad gig. I would encourage every mom who is tired of hearing the whining of their children to turn them into puppies for the day. Ben and Ryan have been known to do this for upward of 2 hours! Steve won't let us get a real dog, so I guess this is as good as it's going to get. At least there's no fur.
