Steph knows how awesome little sisters can be, (right Tiff?) and the boys are finding out for themselves. They love to hear Brooke talk to them and listen to her coos. She is a really happy baby and smiles and gets wiggly when we talk to her. She is just so sweet I can't get enough of her.
Brooke had her 2 months doctor's visit on Monday. Can you believe she's 2 months old?? Anyway, she is 11 lbs, 14oz. 22.5 inches long. That puts her at a hefty 77% in weight, 57% in height and only 18% in head circumference. Ben's head was small as well, so I'm not worried, but it makes the rest of her look small so I was very surprised to hear that she's 77%!! Now if only that would mean that she was sleeping through the night... Oh well. She only gets up once and I usually have to wake her up by 7:45 so she can eat before we get Ben off to school. It could be a lot worse. It's too bad that the poor kid can't ever get a good nap in the day, I feel so bad, but I've heard that it's common for the third, so, oh well. That just means that I get to play with her more often than I would if she did nap. There's always a bright side...
I went to Ben's parent-teacher conference this past week. He is doing very well with letters and numbers and writing. He just has to work on "staying on task," big surprise!! What really bugs his teacher is that he won't sing with the class on their "alphebet chant" that they sing everyday. We went to 4K Family Night last night and the teacher had the kids come up and sing the chant for the parents. Guess what? Ben just stood there, didn't do the actions, didn't even move his lips. I don't know why he has a problem, it's not like he should be embarassed when the whole rest of the class is doing it. If anyone has suggestions, let me know.
