RSV

Thankfully, the boys never did have a significant case of RSV when they were small, that's the beauty of Spring babies. Brooke didn't get off so easily... She is still recovering from a horrible cough (she threw up 3 times yesterday from coughing so hard) and a runny nose that just won't stop. I took her to the doctor's office on Monday afternoon and of course all they could say was, she has RSV, keep doing what you're doing, come back if it gets worse (that's why I never take my children to the doctor besides well-checks). The good part, and the bad part, is that not only does she have RSV, she also has an ear infection on both sides; the good part is that I now don't feel like I wasted my time taking her to the doctor. At least now she is on antibiotics for the ear infection and I feel like that is covering our bases in case she ended up with pneumonia. Poor little sick baby, I feel so bad when she wakes herself up in a coughing fit and I can't do anything for her.
Needless to say, our holiday weekend/Valentine's day consisted of staying in and nursing a sick child, or two (Ryan is the one who gave Brooke RSV).

Jen--

Duane and I just read your blog. It
is so fun to see the kids again. I'm
sorry about the RSV and the milk
problem with Brooke and the LONG
WINTER. Wish you were here. I miss
you and Dexter says he REALLY misses
Ben and Ry and why do they have to
live in Wisconsin?
Love,
Patty
