To all that don't know, my boys call my mom "Monga" and Steve's mom Grandma. That's how they differentiate between the two and my mom loves it, and doesn't encourage correction. That being said, my mom came to visit for a few days this week. We were so excited and overall we had fun together. I think the trip was cursed from the beginning, but we managed to pull through.
First of all her flight to Denver was late and she missed her connection, she had to stay overnight in Denver. Then she flew to Chicago Saturday morning and waited until 5PMbefore we found out that her flight to Appleton was canceled with no other option to get here. Not even a rental car was available! Steve and I loaded the kids and drove 3 hours to pick her up and 3 hours home. We arrived home at 11PM. The boys were so excited to see her that they didn't mind, and would have talked her ear off the whole trip home if we didn't do some threatening to get them to sleep about half way through. So we had Sunday together and enjoyed church and went through a couple open houses. Monday night Ben got sick and threw up a few times and had to sleep in the hallway next to the bathroom. Needless to say he wasn't up for much on Tuesday.
Then Wednesday, today, we checked her flight online and it was already delayed 5 hours from Appleton! We called and they wanted to book her on a flight for tomorrow! No apologies or notices, just expecting everyone to deal with it! With some strong objections we were able to get them to switch airlines and now she is flying home on Delta. She is at the airport now, so we'll cross our fingers that things will work out. NEVER FLY UNITED!!
She brought kites for the boys, which they loved flying! Here is a couple pictures:

We went through all of Brooke's clothes for the next season and size. After doing that we realized we needed more hangers and shelves to put everything in. So we loaded sick Ben and ran to Target and put this beauty together:
