I received a call this afternoon from the school nurse. She informed me that Ben fell on the playground during Gym class, and that she didn't feel comfortable sending him home on the bus. I walked into the nurses office and I saw this nasty surprise!

The picture is blurry because I had to take it while he was sleeping, he wouldn't let me take his picture while awake, and darn-it the camera didn't like focusing in the dark. Anyway, he fell and another kid fell on top of him, he also has skinned knees (one had a rock embedded in it), and a slightly skinned elbow. Poor kid...

He didn't want to play soccer tonight at his soccer game, but I told him to suit up anyway while we cheer for Ryan. I knew he wouldn't sit for long...

5 minutes into the game Ben came onto the field...

He scored 5 goals!! He was amazing out there! The other parents suggest we get him to fall every Wednesday! It seemed to help. He had some fancy footwork and watched the hips of the other players to fake them out. It was incredible!

Ryan also did an incredible job, he likes to be a defender and the goalie. That means he doesn't get to share in the limelight as much as Ben, who prefers the forward position. But, he didn't let the other team score on him at all while he was goalie, so we were excited about that as well!

Hopefully Ben will heal quickly, this was the first day I allowed him to wear shorts this season, I guess it was bad timing. But the day ended well enough. I love my boys!
