Last Saturday we headed to the BEACH! If you head straight East from our house for about an hour you run into Lake Michigan. Since it finally wasn't raining we decided that we better get out there before the Summer season comes to a close. We went to Point Beach State Park and they had a wonderful beach with powder soft sand and gentle waves. (The waves were a bright neon green, but I figured as long as we didn't swim with our mouths open we were OK.) Unfortunately we were bad parents and didn't put sun block on the boys and they were burned on their back and shoulders. It was windy and a little overcast and we really enjoyed watching the boys throw sand into the water.
Ryan got filthy and had to get a bath in the neon green water.
After a couple of hours Ryan dried off in the towel while Ben dried off in the sand.
Brooke was funny! She hated the sand and refused to get down from the chair. If I tried to put her down she brought her legs up to avoid touching it and would start to cry.
We had a great time and only wish we could do this more often.

Looks like fun! I do have to say I think your lake is a bit cleaner than ours. I really do think I'm going to come and move in with you. You wouldn't want to go to a lake here because that would involve being outside for longer than it takes to go from indoors to your car.Yuck, I want your 70 drgrees.
