Ryan has passed a great milestone in his life. He has turned 5! He has been counting down to his 5th birthday since he turned 4, so it was a long time coming. Ryan is so special. He is caring, and sweet. He thinks about things for a long time, and asks great questions ("How come I toot so much?"). He is a worrier as well. He worries about Brooke, and he worries about Ben, he really worries about his Kindergarten shots. He tattles on himself constantly ("sorry mom, I touched your computer screen;" "I wiped my hand on the table;" "I picked my lip"). Ben was asked to give a talk in Primary last week about the scriptures, so when I asked Ben why he liked to read scripture stories Ryan piped up and said "So we can learn Heavenly Father's plan for us." He has been reading for almost a year now, and has started trying to read books to Brooke, she just doesn't have the patience for it from him.
For his birthday, I took him to Chuck E Cheese for lunch with some of our great friends, then he had a T-ball class, followed by dinner at McDonalds. We didn't have much time at home so we let him open 1 present before bed and planned a cake and more presents for March 2, when we would all be home for the night.
He got to pick out and decorate his own cake, he even he blew out all the candles in one breath. His presents included a remote control car, a scooter, and a Mario movie. They are all big hits!
Here he is driving his car!
